HIKING AND NATURE WALKS

There are plenty of hiking and nature trails at and around Eagle Bear Lodge, for those looking for more advanture we have a few trails listed that you may enjoy.

WATERFALLS -DAY TOUR- FULL DAY-Level -Suitable for all. There is a steep hill on the return hike. Total hiking 15-20 minutes each way. Additional trails at the site.

Join us for the day to a remote location with beautiful cascading waterfalls. This tour is not to be missed. There is a 15-20 minute hike to the waterfalls. With 3 separate waterfalls, natural spring pools surrounded by nature, this place is very special and a great place to enjoy nature and local wildlife.

TWEEDSMUIR NATIONAL PARK - RAINBOW MOUNTAINS

Rainbow Mountain Trail - FULL DAY: Level: Intermediate, Distance:  Duration:  Total 4 hours hiking 

Price: $99 per person, includes transportation to Tweedsmuir National Park, guiding and lunch.

Equipment required: Proper hiking boots, t-shirt, light jacket.  Some uphill hiking and uneven ground.

At the end of June and months of July and August hike to the stunning Rainbow Mountains. Ideal for landscape photography and for nature lovers. Start with hiking uphill through the burnt aspens, a very dramatic and picturesque scene with alpine wild flowers adding the perfect dashes of color along the way. A winding trail takes you along fresh water ponds with mountain reflections and the sounds of waterfalls as you reach the final destination, a view of the Rainbow Mountains greet you as you hike closer to the mountains. At the final destination, we stop and enjoy the surroundings and tranquility of nature and enjoy a packed lunch for 20-30 minutes. Returning the hike is approximately 2 hours stopping to enjoy the views and wildflowers along the way.

EAGLE LAKE TRAIL TO THE HUNTER'S CABIN

Eagle Lake Trail- 1/2 Day: Intermediate, Distance: Duration: 

Price: $75 per person, includes guiding, lunch.

Start at the main lodge and head north to the main gates, turn right and hike east until your reach the end of the road. Continue slight left to the trail and continue east to along Eagle Lake until you reach the Hunter’s Cabin. Please be Bear Aware, carry a blow horn, bear spray at all times and talk while hiking as grizzlies are known to pass by this area in the months of June, July , August.
